The Rush Royale collaboration with Paul also included the Champion Rumble event in the game.

Here, players could earn event tokens and use them to unlock various rewards, including fragments that can be used to upgrade to a new epic hero named after Jake Paul. According to Vladimir Nikolsky, CEO of My.Games, the company is strategically aligning its mobile gaming practices with those of PC games.

This includes the development of strong communities and regular content updates. He adds that the success of Rush Royale confirms the effectiveness of this approach, especially at a time when grabbing players’ attention is becoming more challenging.

Rush Royale, available on both Android and iOS, features player-versus-player (PvP) gameplay.

Players defend their castle from waves of enemies by utilizing a unique selection of heroes drawn from a replenishable deck of cards. Players can upgrade their heroes through card collection and combination, and by participating in PvP and player-versus-environment (PvE) battles.

The intriguing journey of My.Games took a dramatic turn when the war in Ukraine broke out.

Vladimir Kiriyenko, CEO of Mail.ru, which owned My.Games, was hit with sanctions due to his ties with the Kremlin. Subsequently, Mail.ru was rebranded as VK, and in September 2022, it sold My.Games to Aleksander Chachava, a serial entrepreneur and managing partner at LETA Capital, for $642 million.

Nikolsky announced in December that My.Games would cease all operations in Russia and be relocated to Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He noted that 90% of the company’s employees had already been working remotely since 2020. All Russia-based products were subsequently transferred to Astrum Entertainment.
