Your wait won’t be too long, as Capcom unveiled at 2022 The Game Awards that Street Fighter 6 will launch on June 2, 2023. Breaking away from Street Fighter PC and Street Fighter Playstation exclusivity, Street Fighter 6 will also be available on Xbox consoles. The game will officially release on PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S.

Street Fighter 6 offers a variety of options for controlling the game. While the Classic control system is for confident and old-school players while Modern Control Type allows you to input special moves more easily.

Dynamic Control Type allows AI-assisted moves to be performed in local play. This makes the game more accessible for players with all levels of skill.

Street Fighter will offer both traditional modes such as arcade, online and local versus, and a training center, along with innovative features like World Tour which allows you to explore the city and train alongside iconic characters. A new feature in fighting games is Street Fighter 6’s real-time commentary feature. Provided by Jeremy “Vicious”, Lopez, and Tasty Ste. This provides insight into the gameplay for those who have never played it.

Microtransaction/DLC details

Capcom’s Year One pass will unlock four characters as DLC, which can be purchased separately or in the ultimate and deluxe editions of the game. You can use your in-game currency Drive Tickets to purchase cosmetics and other costumes, as well as various alternative costumes, for your favorite characters.
